C700 Go! 1986

Back in the early-to-mid-’00s, all the rage on the ILM (I Love Music) message board was making yearly mp3 mix discs using the full capacity of a CD-R: spoofing on the Bow Wow Wow song “C30 C60 C90 Go!” someone among us decided we should name these mixes “C700 Go!” So we did. The whole thread is here. I was quite taken by the concept, and for some reason – I’m guessing because a) no one had claimed it and/or b) it’s such a weird, transitional year, I picked 1986. I still love this mix, who contents are listed below. (That said, it needs more country, and more metal.)  (Rules: only one song per artist, and – that’s it.) Above is the song which, inexplicably, gave my mix its title, C700 Go! 1986: You must have heard the cautionary tale.
